On Sunday, September 1st, 2019, the spotlight was on The 44th Annual Hampton Classic Horse Show competition in Bridgehampton, featuring 6 show rings.   Thousands of guests, from horse lovers, celebrities to corporations, came out to the 65 acre grounds to enjoy the thrill of equestrians from around the world show their horses and throughout the week qualify to participate in the Grand Prix Sunday jump off.

The Grand Prix VIP tent was the center of attraction with arrays of tables decorated with vibrant colorful centerpieces and creative floral designs adorned with delicious food for their guests to enjoy as they watched the Grand Prix.   The Hamptons Cottages & Gardens Table Décor Awards were presented to the top three table designs:  First place was the Whispering Angel/Chateau D’Esclans table; Second place went to Bridgehampton Florist and CMC Bridge was third.

Many celebrities were spotted at this year’s Classic, including Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Brooke Shields, Howard Buffett, Donna Karan and of course Billy Joel, whose 4-year-old daughter took part in an equestrian competition.

Congratulations to Canada’s very own, Olympic and World Cup veteran, Mario Deslauriers who was this year’s winner of the $300,000 Hampton Classic Grand Prix.  His daughter, Lucy, finished second.   That calls for some extra family celebrating after this year’s Hampton Classic.
