EPN Welcomes Dawn Derow, New Fitness Contributor to EPN Magazine! . Dawn Derow, Founder of Divine Body Balance joins the Team of Contributors at EPN Magazine.  Dawn will focus on Total Fitness, following her Mantra, "Awaken the Mind to Elevate the Body" - EPN

Dawn is a NASM Personal Trainer, with 5 Years training experience. AFAA Group Fitness Certified and has done a variety of teaching at Crunch Fitness from Kick boxing, Cardio Dance, Sculpt, Conditioning, and even Urban Rebounding classes since 2007. She is gaining her 200 RYT hours Yoga Alliance, and has been a Private Yoga Instructor for 2 years. Currently she is hired by EXHALE SPA to teach yoga at their many locations. Her Yoga influences include; Baron Baptiste, Rodney Yee, Laughing Lotus, and Jivamukti styles.

After working as a Singer/Dancer on cruise ships, she was bitten by the fitness bug; it seemed to be a logical transition after having been a dancer for most of her life. In 2008 she got a job at Brownings Fitness, and worked closely with Maryann Browning becoming one of her top trainers on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. When clients try an intro session with Dawn they usually stay with her. She’s a trainer who gets results, by focusing on flexibility, posture, lengthening and strengthening, stability, form and core work. She even adds an element of Alexander technique to her style, which is the awareness of your spine in space. Dawn practices what she preaches, by attending classes, workshops, and working with trainers weekly. “Its important to mix it up to keep balanced..” Dawn says "Elements of yoga and strength training brings awareness through mind-body connection and that’s what divine body balance is achieving; the perfect balance."
